Autostrade per l'Italia sought to streamline and structure the management of safety barriers and their spare parts by linking component identification directly to subsequent procurement activities.
The collaboration between Autostrade per l'Italia, Desys Srl, and Prosoft resulted in the creation of an interactive system based on 3D representations of the barriers, utilizing the Linkersys platform. The project was managed and coordinated by Gavriel Caivano, Head of Safety Barriers, Noise Barriers, and Minor Assets (Engineering) at Autostrade per l'Italia.
The 3D modeling of the various barrier types—developed in collaboration with Prosoft - serves as an interface allowing technicians to recognize configurations, explore structures, and access information on individual components.
This experience extends directly into the field via augmented reality, enabling the digital barrier to be visualized over the actual infrastructure; this allows for the identification of specific components, right down to the individual bolt.

Thanks to Desys technology and the Linkersys platform, Autostrade per l'Italia can guide the technician from the identification of the barrier to the finalization of the order, thereby reducing information fragmentation and standardizing the spare parts management process.
