Phoenix Labeling Srl, founded in 1994, is a leading manufacturer of labeling solutions for distributors, system integrators and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). Phoenix Labeling has chosen to use the SAP 3D Visual Enterprise Author software and to make use of the consultancy of Desys to give an important change to the technical documentation.

“The ease of use of SAP 3D Visual Enterprise Author allowed us to hire a person with greater graphic and drafting skills, rather than technical ones, in order to give a WOW effect to our documentation.

Once the design phase with Autodesk Inventor is completed, a file in step format is generated and passed on to the person in charge of the technical documentation, who manages it in total autonomy directly from VEA. Through SAP 3D Visual Enterprise Author the materials are applied to the various components, in order to make the assembly as realistic as possible, and all the procedures necessary for the correct installation and use of the system are created. Subsequently, vector and rendered images with photographic quality are generated, which facilitate the understanding of the instructions.

The 3D files generated with VEA and the very quality of the technical documentation are of great help to the sales office, as well as a competitive advantage and an excellent business card. In this regard, a file copy with the "simplified" BOM (Bill of Material) is available to the sales office, which, thanks to SAP 3D Visual Enterprise Viewer, uses it together with the customer to view the proposed solution in real time and to manage spare parts quickly.“
